Job Title: Lo-Q Cash Clerk / Lo-Q Ride Host / Lo-Q Sales

Department: Lo-Q Park Operations
Reports To: Supervisors/Leads
Status: Seasonal / Part Time


SUMMARY


Registers Q-bots, receives cash, credit cards, travelers checks, other authorized forms of payment, and deposits or guest information from customers in payment for rental of Q-bot and Guest services, and attends to Lo-Q guests at rides and or sells Q-bots to guests at designated locations throughout the park by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Sells Q-bots to guests at assigned locations throughout the park
Enters guest's information details into computer using POS / Lo-Q terminals.
Computes or re-computes bill, itemized lists, and tickets showing amount due.
Makes change, cashes traveler's checks, authorizes credit cards, takes deposits, and issues receipts and rented devices to customers.
Records amounts received and prepares reports of transactions.
At end of shift, totals shown on cash register tape and verifies against cash on hand.
Quotes price of items and services for which money is received.
Operates cash register by compiling printed list, and display cost of customer purchase, tax, and rebates on monitor screen and issuing receipt.
Goes to assigned ride station to check Q-bots
Holds guests in both lines back at the specified point
Checks ride heights at some rides or performs other ride attendant duties as training allows
Ensures ride operations staff loads guests on ride in timely manner
Assists guests with questions or issues with the Q-bot
Suggestively sells Q-bots by mentioning availability and system overview to guests in normal queues at rides or other designated areas of the park
Reports to Lo-Q Senior Supervisor or Park Office supervisor with any issues that occur at the rides.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Has ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
